Helpful Tips For Beginners
• Be sure you measure your journal.
• If you have never burned a journal before, start with a simple design then work up to the more complex designs.
• YOU CAN BURN A HOLE ! If you have never burned, practice on an old book. Practice makes perfect was never more true then with burning.
• Do a test print to make sure the design fits the way you want it. If the design doesn't fit, adjust the design then do another test print. Continue the process until you get the design the size you want it.
• This design is designed for a 8.5" x 5.75" journal. We recommend using the SVG file which allows you to adjust the design bigger or smaller without distortion or pixilation.

Are you wanting to try burning a design on a hat or baseball cap but you are not confident of your drawing ability?
Our hat burning design is a great solution. You can cut our designs out of thin plastic or card stock and use them as a stencil. Or you can print the design and use carbon paper to trace the design onto your hat.
Many of our customers cut the designs apart to create totally unique hat designs. The design possibilities are virtually unlimited.
